What is it?
Gameplay programming is where game design is accomplished. If you are a programmer, you're the one who must make real what a designer can only imagine. It can be challenging as sometimes designers don't realise the technical implications of what they have designed and how difficult it may be to actually bring to fruition. Gameplay programmers must work closely with the game designers in order to implement all the features of the game that have been designed.
